Benefits

• Pay Range: $18.96-24.65

• Flexible seasonal hours, ranging from full-time to part-time depending on the season

• Students who successfully complete their term may be eligible for conversion to a term or permanent job in the civil service. Please note: Conversion to a position in the civil service after completion of the program is not guaranteed.

Duties

• Provide high quality customer service to visitors from around the country and the world

• Staff visitor center and information desk: welcome visitors, issue Lincoln Home tour tickets, answer visitor questions, etc.

• Give tours of the Lincoln Home to the public, sharing with visitors the story of Abraham Lincoln and his family.

• Handle and process fees, passes, and other sales responsibly

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Must be a current student seeking a degree or certificate from an accredited institution (e.g. high school; vocational or technical school; associate, bachelor, graduate, or professional school) on a half to full time basis.
• Must be available to work approx. 24 hours per week while classes are in session and 40 hours a week when classes are not in session (e.g. summer vacation)
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must hold U.S. citizenship.
