 On April 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will celebrate National Park Week 2024. Join Lincoln Home staff in the Visitor Center, located at 426 S. 7th Street in Springfield IL, to participate in activities for youth focused on celebrating Art in the Park!  On April 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will join the National Park Service to celebrate Junior Ranger Day 2024. Join Lincoln Home staff in the Visitor Center, located at 426 S. 7th Street in Springfield IL, to participate in activities and earn Junior Ranger prizes!  Listen Live to a Brass Quintet at a free “Around the Town” concert at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, during “Art in the Park” at Lincoln Home National Historic Site. “Art in the Park” is part of National Park Week, which runs April 20 through 28, 2024.  Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host a free, all-day public celebration marking the two hundred and fifteenth anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth in the Lincoln Home National Historic Site Visitor Center (426 S. 7th Street) on February 10 and February 11, 2024.  Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host the play “A Message at Midnight” December 8 at 6p.m., December 9 at 3p.m., and December 10 at 3p.m.  On Saturday October 28, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host our annual Trick-or-Treat Halloween event in partnership with the City of Springfield.  Julius Rosenwald, one of the most important and socially impactful sons of Springfield, Illinois, is also one of the least known. The man who grew up in the shadow of Abraham Lincoln became the president of Sears, Roebuck and Company, eventually amassing a fortune, most of which he dedicated to helping those who faced the injustices of a racially divided America.  On Saturday October 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will host an adoption event for Springfield’s Animal Protective League (APL).  From June 16 to June 19, 2023, Lincoln Home National Historic Site will celebrate Juneteenth by offering visitors access to a pop-up exhibit about Jameson Jenkins and his family's story at the Jenkins Lot on 8th Street near the Lincoln Home. Lincoln Home National Historic Site will partner with the Lincoln Library, Springfield's Public Library, to
present reading programs during the Summer of 2023 as part of the City of Springfield's History Comes Alive season.
