All groups of 15 or more people (including teachers/chaperones) are required to schedule a tour of the Lincoln Home through the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB). All group visits are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groups are requested to make reservations at least 2 weeks ahead of time. You should receive a confirmation from the SCVB within 4-6 weeks of submitting your request. Lincoln Home offers two types of visits for groups – The Lincoln Home Tour and The Neighborhood Tour. Lincoln Home Tour: Groups will take a 15 – 20-minute guided ranger tour of the Lincoln Home. Neighborhood Tour: This is a self-guided tour of the Lincoln Home neighborhood. Options include two museum exhibits, wayside markers in the historic area surrounding the Lincoln Home, and a 20-minute park film.

Groups should arrive 15 minutes early and check in at the front desk of the Visitor Center for directions and orientation. Large groups should be prepared to split into smaller groups of 15 or less if scheduled for a Lincoln Home Tour. Besides a tour of Lincoln Home, what else is there to do? There are two self-guided museum exhibits and wayside markers throughout the historic area. In the Visitor Center there are restrooms, the park store, and a park film that plays in the theater.
