Standard Entrance Pass


A site fee of $10 per adult is required for Fort Moultrie. Fort Sumter requires ferry tickets be purchased from a third party concessioner. For more information on purchasing tickets for Fort Sumter, please visit www.fortsumtertours.com.

Fort Moultrie charges a per person entrance fee for adults. Anyone 16 years old or older is considered an adult.

Annual Entrance - Park

Annual Entrance - Park

The Fort Moultrie Annual Park Pass provides entry into Fort Moultrie for the pass holder and 3 other adults. The pass is valid for a year from the date of purchase. Each Fort Moultrie Annual Park Pass may have 2 separate passholders.

Fort Sumter

There is no entrance fee for Fort Sumter. However, the fort is on an island that is only accessible by boat and there is a fee for the concession-operated ferry. Learn more about the ferry boat schedule and ticket prices. Fee-free days DO NOT apply to Fort Sumter ferry boat tickets.

Fort Moultrie

Fort Moultrie and its grounds are a designated US Fee Area. Visitors are required to purchase an entrance pass or present their digital or Interagency passes at the Fort Moultrie Visitor Center upon entering the site. The park is no longer accepting cash for entrance fees. Credit, debit, and contactless payments are the only methods of payment currently accepted.

Group Reservations and Academic Fee Waivers

All organized groups visiting Fort Moultrie require reservations. For reservations, please email a completed Group Reservation Form to fosu_information@nps.gov

National Park Service regulations allow school groups and other bona fide academic institutions to obtain a waiver for park entrance fees, provided that the visit is for educational or scientific purposes, and the resource or facilities the group proposes to use support those purposes.
