Missing in the Copper Country is a multi-faceted program of social media posts, temporary exhibits, ranger-guided programs, and interactive youth programming. Developed by park ranger Lynette Webber, this series of photos looks at the missing buildings, streetscapes, landscapes, people, and events of the Copper Country. Historic images are transposed over present day scenes from the same location. The history of each photo is researched and compiled into a short interpretive narrative that is included with the photos. The researched images are posted weekly on social media, used in temporary exhibits, on walking tours, and in illustrated programs. Missing in the Copper Country helps to bring together history, preservation, interpretation, and education.
