Reservations for school groups and other educational groups, should be made two weeks prior to your visit. Please contact us. There is no fee for this service.

Special Use Permits

At least one month's notice along with an application and a non-refundable $50 fee is required for a Special Use Permit. Special use permits can be mailed, emailed, faxed, or dropped off at:

Permits within park owned facilities or on park owned property are arranged on an individual basis. Please contact us for more information.

Research Permits

Permitted researchers study everything from archeology to ancestry at Keweenaw NHP. All are required to submit an annual report of their study progress and results. These Investigators' Annual Reports (IARs) are then entered into the National Park Service's Research Permit and Reporting System (RPRS), a searchable database that is available for public use.
