Before Beginning an National Historic Landmark Nomination

Before nominating a property for NHL designation, you must determine its eligibility and make an initial inquiry about the property with the National Historic Landmarks Program staff. Please visit our corresponding pages on eligibility and inquiry for more information, as you must meet those requirements before continuing to the next stages of the nomination process.
