The National Park System Advisory Board (NPSAB) met December 9-10, 2024, and considered fourteen new nominations for National Historic Landmark designation, five updated nominations, and one withdrawal of designation. The NPSAB voted to recommend that the Secretary of the Interior proceed with these proposed NHL actions.
On December 16, 2024, the Secretary of the Interior announced the designation of these fourteen new NHLs and approval of the five updated nominations and one withdrawal of designation. Visit Recent NHL Designations to explore a StoryMap of the new and updated NHLs.
