NPS Fort Donelson National Battlefield will be needing help from the youth of our community. The park will recruit individuals to participate in the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) this upcoming summer. Our youth work on projects ranging from repairing the trail systems within Fort Donelson and maintenance of wayside exhibits. Work will require physical challenges outdoors and youth must commit to working 40 hours per week for the duration of the program. The YCC program is conducted for 8-10 weeks from the end of May until school begins again in August. Participants must be at least 15 and cannot turn 19 years during the program. You may pick up applications at the park Visitor Center, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Thursday - Sunday and also at the Park Headquarters, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. |
