Confederate Monument
Confederate Monument

In the years before World Wars I and II, the women of the United Daughters of the Confederacy raised funds to build a monument to honor the fallen soldiers at Fort Donelson. Donations for the monument came from around the country. Finally by 1933, the Tennessee Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy had enough contributions that they could erect the monument on the grounds of the battlefield.

While this monument commemorates the Confederate veterans, the exact location of Confederate graves is unknown.
