Location The Dolley Todd House is located at 341 Walnut Street. The entrance door is through a white gate on 4th Street.
Hours and Fees Closed. Repairs to the HVAC system are required; there is no current timeline for the site to reopen.
Ticketing When the site is open, timed entry tickets are required. Sign up for a Bishop White House/Todd House tour at the Independence Visitor Center on the morning of your visit. Tours are limited to ten (10) people; tickets are limited in quantity, and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Exhibits See the home of future first lady Dolley Madison where she lived with her first husband, John Todd, from 1791-93. The house is furnished to look as if the family still resided there, and includes many 18th century antiques.
Accessibility The Dolley Todd House is not wheelchair accessible. Due to its 18th century appearance, the house consists of small spaces and steep, narrow stair cases. Learn more about the accessibility services offered throughout the park on our website.
