California Condors at Pinnacles

Pinnacles National Park joined the California Condor Recovery Program as a release and management site in 2003. The park co-manages all of the wild condors in central California along with the Ventana Wildlife Society. Explore this page to learn more about condors, their recovery, current threats, and more.

To report condor sightings in central California (Alameda, Santa Clara, Stanislaus, Merced, San Benito, Monterey, Fresno, San Luis Obispo, and nearby counties), email us or call the Pinnacles Condor Program at 831-389-4486, extension 4276.

To report condor sightings in southern California (Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, Los Angeles, Tulare, Inyo, and nearby counties,) email the USFWS condor program there.

To report condors in Arizona/Utah, email the Peregrine Fund condor program.
