Who was John Muir?
John Muir was a writer, lecturer, geologist, botanist, glaciologist, explorer, school teacher, inventor, fruit rancher, husband, and father. Widely considered America’s most influential naturalist, he played a key role in the creation of Yosemite National Park and co-founded the Sierra Club in 1892, serving as its first president until his death in 1914.
