Overview of entrance requirementsFree
No entrance pass required
Entrance PassesAn entrance pass is not required to access John Muir National Historic Site. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.
Visiting the John Muir National Historic site is FREE! Picnic or stroll the house and grounds as often as you please during our operating hours. Since we do not collect an entrance fee, we also do not sell National Park passes. You can obtain passes at nearby parks, including Muir Woods National monument and San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. For more information, visit www.nps.gov/findapark/passes.htm.
