Over 750 species of vascular plants have been documented in Catoctin Mountain Park, including 60 species of trees.
Although no Federally listed rare or endangered plants occur within the park, there are numerous State of Maryland listed threatened and endangered species. Many of the plants found in Catoctin are uncommon in the Middle-Atlantic States.
Please remember that it is illegal to pick wildflowers or collect seeds from plants. Personal consumption of berries and mushrooms is permitted.
