Chukchi Sea Coast The rarely visited Chukchi Sea coast is located in the northwestern part of Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. Access is primarily by airplanes, which can land on the sandy beaches. It is an ideal place for hiking with long beaches and relatively flat tundra. Bird viewing is exceptional, with bird species from both North America and Asia found along the coast. Wildlife viewing includes bears, whales, and one of the few remaining managed reindeer herds on the Seward Peninsula. |
