Yosemite National Park has 13 popular campgrounds, all of which are on a reservation system from April through October. During winter, Camp 4, Wawona, and Hodgdon Meadow are first-come, first-served campgrounds, but can fill during holidays and weekends.

Reservations are available at different times depending on the campground. All non-lottery reservations are released at 7 am Pacific time and sell out within minutes.

For your best chance of getting a reservation, be sure your clock is set accurately. Log in and be ready to go at Recreation.gov before 7 am Pacific time. You can find more help making reservations and other frequently asked questions.

 

Temporary Reservation On-Sale Date Changes

Yosemite National Park will release reservations for several campgrounds on May 15 at 7 am PDT via Recreation.gov as follows:

• Upper Pines sites 1–124: August 15 through September 14
• North Pines: August 15 through September 14
• Lower Pines: June 15 through September 14
• Wawona A & C loops and horse sites: August 15 through September 14
• Hodgdon Meadow: August 15 through September 14
• Crane Flat: May 22 through May 29 (reservations for this campground are normally released two weeks in advance)

Additional reservations will also release on May 15 between 7 am and 7:30 am PDT as follows:

• Upper Pines sites 125–240: June 15 through September 14
• Wawona B loop: June 15–September 14
• Hodgdon Meadow: June 15 through August 14 (limited availability because some sites were already released)

The park may open other campgrounds if operational capacity and conditions allow.

Future booking windows:

• June 15: Reservations for arrivals from September 15 through October 14 for Upper Pines, Lower Pines, North Pines, Wawona, and Hodgdon Meadow will release.
• July 15: Reservations for arrivals from October 15 through December 14 for Upper Pines, Lower Pines, North Pines, Wawona, and Hodgdon Meadow will release. As of July 15, we will be back on our regular release schedule.

 

When to Make a Reservation

Only Upper Pines Campground is on reservations all year. View opening dates and reservation seasons for all campgrounds.

Five Months in Advance

Reservations for these campgrounds are released five months in advance on the 15th of each month. See schedule above for temporary changes in 2025.

• Upper Pines (open all year)
• Lower Pines (open sometime in April to sometime in October)
• North Pines (open sometime in April to sometime in October)
• Wawona (open all year; reservation required from sometime in April to sometime in October)
• Hodgdon Meadow (open all year; reservation required from sometime in April to sometime in October)

Two Months in Advance

Half of the campsites at Tuolumne Meadows Campground are released two months in advance on the 15th of each month. (The other half are released on a rolling daily window two weeks in advance.)

Two Weeks in Advance

Reservations for these campgrounds are released two weeks in advance on a rolling daily window (i.e., 14 days in advance of arrival date):

• Bridalveil Creek (open sometime in July to early September)
• Crane Flat (open July to early October)
• Tamarack Flat (open July to early October)
• White Wolf (open July to early September)
• Yosemite Creek (open July to early September)
• Porcupine Flat (open July to early October)
• half of Tuolumne Meadows (open July to late September)

One Week in Advance

Camp 4 reservations are released one week in advance on a rolling daily window (i.e., 7 days in advance of arrival date). Reservations required April 18 through October 31, 2025 (returning to first-come, first-served November 1). .

 

Make a Campground Reservation

You may only make two reservations per website visit or phone call (you can start over again or call again to make additional reservations, up to the camping limit).

If you're unable to get a campground reservation, you may want to try a first-come, first-served campground (fall through spring) or keep checking for cancellations. Sleeping in a vehicle is not allowed in Yosemite unless you are in a campsite you have registered for.
