Guided Tours

The upstairs portion of the house can be seen by guided tour only. Tours last approximately 45 minutes. All tours are free.

Walk-In Guided Tours

Each tour is limited to 18 people and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Reservations can only be made in-person on the day of the tour. It is strongly recommended that visitors arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before a tour starts to sign up. If you arrive later, the tour could fill up. The is no gaurantee a tour will have space, especially during high-visitation Summer months.

Group Tour Reservations

Reservations are required for private, non-commercial groups of 10-18 individuals. Currently, the Birthplace can only accommodate reservations at 10:00 AM, Wednesday-Sunday. The group size cannot exceed 18 individuals. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. To submit a reservation inquiry, email [e-mail].

Field Trip Reservations

Reservations are required for field trips. Currently, the Birthplace can only accommodate reservations at 10:00 AM, Wednesday-Sunday. The group size, including all staff and chaperones, cannot exceed 36 individuals. A group will be split in half for two abbreviated tours if more than 18 individuals are attending.
