Plan Your Visit

Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace preserves the rebuilt childhood home of 26th President Theodore Roosevelt. To visit the upstairs historic section of the house, all visitors need to be on a guided tour. To learn more about the guided tours, please scroll down to “Historic Tours”.

Visitor Center Hours

The visitor center is open Wednesday – Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Historic Tours

The only way to access the upstairs floors of historic period rooms at Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace is on a tour. Tours are 45 minutes in length and explore five rooms that have been recreated to look like Theodore Roosevelt’s childhood home. A ranger or volunteer will be your guide during your tour and answer questions that you may have. All public tours are first-come, first-served.

Please be aware that tours may reach capacity before your desired tour time, so be sure to arrive early. Registration must be done in-person on the day of your desired tour. The Birthplace does not offer booking of advanced reservations for tours, unless there are 10 or more people in your party, in which case it is required. Scroll down to “Tour Reservations” for more information.
