A water line break just outside of Bandelier National Park along New Mexico State Highway 4 between White Rock and the Truck Route has temporarily closed Bandelier’s Tsankawi Unit.
Bandelier National Monument is announcing the return of its popular Winter Solstice Walks on December 20-22, 2024. The ranger-led program will start at the Bandelier National Monument Visitor Center at 7 am on all three days.
Fire activity was detected in one of the buildings in Bandelier’s Historic District at approximately 9:50 am on Thursday, December 5. The cause is currently under investigation.

Bandelier National Monument’s Tsankawi Unit will be temporarily closed on the morning of Thursday, September 26 for traditional cultural activities. It will reopen to the public at 12 noon. All other areas of the Bandelier, including Frijoles Canyon and the Pueblo Loop Trail will be open.
