Working independently or as a group, students will be given a list of resources, a map of the United States depicting the locations of all National Park Service sites (as of 2016), a math compass, Internet access (for a Web quest), a graphic organizer (for optional use) and scratch paper for computations.

Introduce President Clinton as a Hope native. Students will research his life and presidency. Add facts to sticky notes and place on wall or board for everyone to view. Students will create a poster or pamphlet using "sticky note facts".

Teacher will lead a discussion on what aspects of President Cllinton's early years were similar or different than the student's experiences.

Introduce the three branches of government. Explain, in depth about the Executive branch and the duties of the President. Ask students if they know who was the 42nd President. Create a KWL chart for requirements to become President of the United States. Research the requirements. Create an election poster as if you are competing for the Presidency, demonstrating that they have the proper requirements to run for office.

Using a four square graphic organizer, draft, edit and publish a persuasive essay OR draft a speech to persuade OR create a Prezi to persuade the observer to visit the birthplace home of President Clinton.

Read aloud "So You Want To Be President", discuss as a group then create a timeline

In class, Instructor will lead a discussion in what is a "family tree". Teacher will model by sharing their individual family tree using one of the tree options and the ovals. Analyze the lifestyle of your ancestors in comparison to yours today. Students will complete a family or household tree at home. Students will write one paragraph (on the blank side of the page) explaining why they chose that particular tree design to populate.

Discuss "what is a seal". Create your own school seal. Explain your seal to a classmate and explain three important details.

Students have to sequence pictures of Bill Clinton in order on a timeline. Students work in groups to organize the pictures in chronological order.
