How would you describe your family tree?
Objective
Identify your ancestors and/ or significant figures on your life and illustrate them on a graphic organizer.
Preparation
Students may choose a tree design that speaks to them and populate with paper ovals glued to the page |
Materials
Procedure
I opened with a photo of me and my father when I was very young and drew a tree on the board and populated it with family and non-family members who were instrumental in my upbringing. Have students bring in a photo on a volunteer basis as a precursor to the actual completion of the tree.
