Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Santa Fe Trail by participating in a virtual art contest hosted by the National Park Service National Trails office.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, 3-Trails West, Inc. and the National Park Service will dedicate a major transit hub which is both high-tech and historic at 12:30 p.m., May 31. The 3-Trails Transit Center is at 9449 Blue Ridge Blvd. in South Kansas City. The event is free and open to the public.
National Trails Intermountain Region (NTIR) staff representing the Santa Fe National Historic Trail worked with partners to rehabilitate a site featuring some of the best examples of Santa Fe Trail ruts along the historic trail.
