Program Overview

Reconstruction Era National Historical Park has limited capacity in our visitor center and on tour options. Most groups visiting our downtown Beaufort site also visit other downtown points of interest such as the Verdier House and the Beaufort History Museum.

The visitor center for Reconstruction Era National Historical Park has a one room exhibit space that can accommodate up to 15 students. We can offer walking tours at this location, however, we cannot exceed 20 participants on the tour due to city regulations on tour group sizes. Therefore, we request that larger school groups consider our other educational programs or check out other historical sites within the downtown area. If you have any questions about programs at the Visitor Center please e-mail us.
