By Car From Downtown via I-94 (Dan Ryan and Bishop Ford expressways):
Take I-94 East (south). After 95th street, the expressway will split. Stay to the left and take the Bishop Ford towards Indiana.Continue on the Bishop Ford to the 111th Street exit (#66A). Exit at the 111th street exit (#66A). Go west on 111th Street and then turn right into the Visitor Center parking lot (after the 3rd light, after the Rocktenn sign).
Via Lake Shore Drive/Stony Island Avenue alternate:
From downtown, take Lake Shore Drive south. At 57th Street (the exit for the Museum of Science and Industry) exit the Drive and follow the inner drive to connect to Stony Island Avenue. Continue south on Stony Island. After 95th Street, continue south and merge onto the Bishop Ford Expressway toward Indiana. Exit at the 111th street exit (#66A). Go west on 111th Street and then turn right into the Visitor Center parking lot (after the 3rd light, after the Rocktenn sign).
From the South via I-94 (Dan Ryan and Bishop Ford expressways):
Follow I-94 West toward Chicago. Exit at the 111th street exit (#66A). Go west on 111th Street and then turn right into the Visitor Center parking lot (after the 3rd light, after the Rocktenn sign).
By Bus
CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) City Bus Route #111-Pullman:
Route #115 runs along Cottage Grove Avenue and stops at 11000 S. Cottage Grove, right across from the Administration-Clock Tower Visitor Center. Additionally, Route #4 Stops at the corner of 111th and Cottage Grove the same corner as the Pullman National Historical Park Visitor Center.
From Downtown:
You can take the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) Red Line Trains to connect to the #115 bus line. Visit Chicago Transit Authority for route map and schedules.
Metra Rail Service
The Pullman district is serviced by the Metra Electric commuter train lines from the 103rd Street/Rosemoor, 107th street, 111th Street/Pullman, and 115th Street/Kensington stations. Visit www.metrarail.com for schedules and ticket information for the Metra Electric line.
From the 111th Street-Pullman Station:
This station is closest to the Visitor Center and is a local station stop. Trains take approximately 30-40minutes to get to this stop from downtown. After arriving at the station, walk through the station house and down the stairs. Walk east (right turn) to Cottage Grove Avenue. Cross to the park and walk north (left turn) one block. The Visitor Center will be located on your right on the corner of 111th and Cottage Grove in the Administration-Clock Tower Building.
From the 115th Street–Kensington Station:
This station is about 5 blocks from the Visitor Center and is an express stop on this line. Express trains take about 20 minutes from downtown to this stop. Exit the station on Front Street. Turn left towards 115th street and then another left to head east on 115th street (under the viaduct) to Cottage Grove Ave. Cross at the light, turn left (north) and proceed 4 blocks up Cottage Grove to 111th Street. The Visitor Center is on the corner of 111th and S. Cottage Grove Ave in the Administration-Clock Tower Building.
