Management

The Historic Resource Study (2020) provides an initial overview of the historical context of the park and examines the broader setting and themes that relate to the industrial innovation, labor relations, and civil rights movement connected to the Pullman Factory and town. It is the final project of a cooperative agreement between the NPS, NPS-Midwest Archeological Center, and Michigan Technological University that started in 2017. The Foundation Document (2017) helps park staff and the public clearly identify the essential information that is necessary for park management to consider when determining future planning efforts, outlining key planning issues, and protecting resources and values that are integral to park purpose and identity.
