Visitor Center
Regular Hours (March through November): Open daily 8:30 - 4:30 central time. Admission is free and includes cultural demonstrations, exhibits, a film, and park store. The 3/4-mile paved trail is free to walk at all times.
Winter Hours (December through February): Open Tuesday - Saturday 8:30 - 4:30 central time. No cultural demonstrations, but free snowshoe check-out is available in the visitor center to enjoy the trail from January until the snow melts (supplies are limited).

From I-90, take either US Hwy 75 or MN Hwy 23 north for ~30 miles to the town of Pipestone. The entrance road to the park is located off of Hiawatha Ave., which cuts through downtown.
From I-29, take the exit for SD Hwy 34. This turns into MN Hwy 30 and brings you directly to Pipestone. Take a left of Hiawatha Ave., which brings you to the entrance road of the park.

December, January, and February, the Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm central time and offers exhibits, a 22-minute film, and park store. The trail and grounds are open daily, year-round. Admission is free.

Visitor services are not available on Sunday or Monday during the months of December, January, and February. Brochures are available in a box near the Visitor Center entrance doors and the trails remain open for walking.
