In-Person Field Trips at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Field trips enhance classroom learning and broaden the learning experience for students. Educators can choose between self or ranger-guided field trip options for their visit. Our field trip programs cover a variety of Civil War or environmental topics.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park offers both ranger-guided and self-guided field trip programs.

• If you would like a ranger-guided field trip or program, please view the GUIDED PROGRAMS of grade-appropriate options.
• If you would like a formal education program for your students but cannot visit on ranger-guided days or you prefer to lead your students on your own, please explore the SELF-GUIDED programs.

 

What You Need to Know

• Kennesaw Mountain NBP is a FEE Park. To avoid paying an entrance fee for your visit, see if you qualify for an Educational Fee Waiver.
• Self-guided programs are available Monday - Friday during the regular school year. We follow the Cobb County School District calendar.
• Guided programs are routinely available Monday - Thursday with some limited programming available on Fridays.
• Before selecting a date for your trip, please visit our Education Calendar to see if the date you would prefer is available.
• When ready, please fill out our In-Person Field Trip Form. When completed, save the form and e-mail it to us at [e-mail].

We politely ask that if you decide to make changes to your confirmed field trip's plans that you do so at least one week before your scheduled visit. Thank you for helping us deliver quality programming!
