Teachers' Resources for Environmental Education or TREE backpacks are designed to be a self-guided program used on Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield's 1.3 mile environmental trail loop, coordinating with the educational signs found along the trail route. Because this activity is designed to be an outdoor hike, please make sure to wear closed-toed shoes, pack plenty of water, and consider the weather.

What you Need to Know About This Program:
- This program is FREE!
- This program is self-guided
- You must complete and submit the Field Trip Request form at the bottom of our education page. This must be completed at two weeks prior to your intended visitation date
- To see what dates are available, please visit our online calendar;
- The park only has 20 TREE backpacks, so please keep in mind when planning.
- Packs can be picked up from Visitor Center upon arrival
