The concept of Leave no Trace is a collection of seven easy to understand principles for anyone visiting the outdoors to minimize their impact. This program will introduce the principles to the students in a fun and interactive way. For younger children (3rd – 5th grade), there is an interactive avtivity that gets everyone moving. For older students (6th and up) there is an interactive program dealing with best practices and the decomposition rate of certain common litter items. Both programs may involve a short hike, so please wear closed toed shoes, bring plenty of water, and keep the weather in mind when planning.
