The America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites across the United States. Passes cover entrance fees at lands managed by the National Park Service and US Fish & Wildlife Service and also standard amenity fees (day use fees) at lands managed by the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Army Corps of Engineers.

Standard Entrance Pass

The daily entrance fee for Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is $5. This can be purchased online, in our Visitor Center, or at any of our five Automated Fee Machines located in our major parking lots. A valid debit/credit card will be needed as none of these locations accept cash.

The Daily Pass is valid for the date of purchase only. It admits all persons traveling in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle (car/truck/van) and is non-transferable. This pass does NOT guarantee a parking spot.

Annual Entrance - Park

The Annual Pass is valid for one year from the month of purchase. It admits all persons traveling in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle (car/truck/van) and is non-transferable. This pass does NOT guarantee a parking spot upon arrival. This can be purchased online, in our Visitor Center, or at any of our 5 Automated Fee Machines located in our major parking lots. A valid debit/credit card will be needed as none of these locations accept cash.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

• Monday, January 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 20 — First Day of National Park Week
• Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth
• Sunday, August 4 — The Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 28 — National Public Lands Day

Fees & Passes

The fee you pay when parking at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KEMO) makes a difference! Under the Federal Recreation Lands Enhancement Act, national parks keep 80% of all fees collected and use that money to fund critical projects that improve services and protect resources. For the first three years, 100% of revenue generated will stay locally at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

 

Parking

When you park your vehicle in the park, your proof of payment is a KEMO Daily Pass, a KEMO Annual Pass, or an America the Beautiful Pass. Physical passes must be displayed from the inside rear view mirror or on the dashboard of your vehicle, making sure the face of the pass is visible from the outside. Digital passes will be tied to your vehicle's license plate number.

Fees are required at all 10 parking lots at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. There are automated fee machines at the following lots: Overflow Lot, Visitor Center Lot, Burnt Hickory Lot, Illinois Monument Lot, Cheatham Hill Rd. Lot. These machines accept valid credit or debit cards.
