Take a ranger-guided tour
Join a ranger on an expedition through the country's first full-scale landscape architecture office. A guided tour takes you through the Historic Design Office where ideas were expressed through the creation of plans, drawings, photographs and other materials which were then used to build landscapes across the nation. After the tour, stroll through our self-guided exhibits to learn more about the wide spectrum of work and happenings of the Olmsted office.
Explore the restored landscape
The intention and emotion of Olmsted's landscape theory can be felt throughout the Fairsted landscape.
Experience special events
From discussion-based tours to archives open houses, we offer a little something for mind, body, and soul. Ranger-led walking tours of Olmsted landscapes are offered on a seasonal basis.
