Beginning October 9, 2023, through March 30, 2024, Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site will be closed Monday-Tuesday and open Wednesday-Sunday from 9:00 – 5:00 Central Time.

Fort Union Rendezvous set for June 15-18, 2023. This free event encourages visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to experience the rich history and vibrant culture of the fur trade era.

Living History volunteers and members from the local Fort Union Muzzle Loader Association will bring history to life through historical dress, demonstrations, crafts, tools, and stories.

Saturday August 6 & 7, 2022 Fort Union Trading Post NHS will host Tribal Historians, Artisans and performers from 10:00-4:00 Central Time.

Fort Union Trading Post NHS will close to the public July 18-19, 2022 for parking lot rehabilitation. During the closure a temporary visitor center will be located at The Missouri-Yellowstone Interpretive center

Kids hands-on history programing will run each Saturday from June 2nd to June 30th, 2022. These programs are free and open to all ages.

39th Annual Fort Union Rendezvous set for June 16-19, 2022 Join Fort Union staff and volunteers in celebration of the upper Missouri’s fur trade heritage at one of the West’s most influential historic sites.

Fort Union Trading Post will close to the public from May 23-27 for parking lot repairs. Visitors will be re-directed to The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, where park staff will host temporary visitor center operations.

Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site is excited to announce the return of Kids Craft Saturdays. Each Kids Craft activity is free, open to the public, and accessible to all age levels. Activities will take approximately one hour to complete.
