Fort Union Announces Winter Schedule Beginning October 9, 2023 

Williston, ND – Beginning October 9, 2023 through March 30, 2024, Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site’s winter hours will be  

 

Monday-Tuesday: CLOSED 

Wednesday-Sunday: OPEN 9:00 – 5:00 Central Time 

 

Visitors to Fort Union can enjoy a visit to the fort, outdoor exhibits, a museum, and the park’s store featuring Native American made items, reproduction fur trade era goods, a carefully curated selection of books, and other merchandise.  

 

Admission and parking are free.   

  

About Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site: Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site is a treasured National Historic Site managed by the National Park Service. Located at 15550 Highway 1804 near Williston, ND, Fort Union preserves one of the most important fur trade posts on the Upper Missouri River.   

  

The site offers visitors an opportunity to explore the history and culture of the fur trade era through exhibits, demonstrations, and summer events like the Fort Union Rendezvous, Indian Arts Festival, and Living History Weekend.
