How Your Support Helps Preserve Pearl Harbor’s LegacyThe National Park Service preserves the natural and cultural resources of the national park system, ensuring they remain unimpaired for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of present and future generations. Every day, visitor donations help us fulfill that mission here at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support. Thanks to your contributions, we are able to maintain and enhance the memorial, educate visitors, and honor the legacy of those who served. Your generosity ensures that the history and significance of Pearl Harbor remain preserved for millions of visitors each year. Thank you for making this important work possible! Restoration of the USS Arizona MemorialThanks to your support, phase one of the USS Arizona Memorial restoration project was completed in October 2012. Our fundraising efforts continue toward reaching our $700,000 goal to fully restore and preserve this iconic site. Education ProgramsDonations allow us to offer transportation scholarships for more than 30,000 students annually, enabling them to visit Pearl Harbor and learn about the history of World War II through our educational programs. Interpretive StaffSeveral of our interpretive staff members are supported through a work-study arrangement made possible by donation funds. These dedicated staff help visitors connect with the stories of Pearl Harbor and its significance. Artifact ConservationPrecious artifacts like the Elgin Clock, salvaged from the admiral’s bridge of the USS Arizona, are carefully conserved for future generations through donation funding, ensuring that these pieces of history are preserved. Interpretive ExhibitsDonations help develop, fabricate, and install our historical exhibits, such as the Sadako Sasaki Crane, which continues to educate and inspire visitors about the broader historical context of Pearl Harbor and its global significance. Dive ProgramThe dive program, supported by your donations, allows for the preservation and monitoring of the USS Arizona and other underwater resources managed by the National Park Service in Pearl Harbor, ensuring their continued protection.
