Train Rides - 2024 schedule coming soon

The Steamtown rail experience varies from short 30-minute trips exploring the park’s historic railroad yard to full-day trips through the Poconos. Sunday, November 12, 2023 marked the final day of the "Scranton Limited" yard shuttle as part of our regular operating season.

A 2024 schedule for train rides and special events will be forthcoming.

OPEN

The following spaces and activities are available during regular business hours of 10:00am - 4:00pm, daily:

• Information Kiosk
• Park Store
• History Museum
• Louisville & Nashville Railway Post Office Car
• Erie Business Car
• 1937 Roundhouse
• Locomotive Shop (guided tour only)
• Designated areas within the Railyard (Remember, Steamtown is a working railroad site, so please be careful. Look out for moving trains and other vehicles at all times.)

CLOSED

The following spaces are closed:

• Visitor Center
• Theater
• Cut-A-Way exhibit
• Technology Museum
