What is a Junior Ranger?Junior Rangers help to preserve Steamtown National Historic Site (and other National Parks) by: exploring the parks they visit, learning fun facts along the way, and taking an oath to protect the parks for future generations. Junior Rangers serve as ambassadors to the National Parks by sharing what they learn with their friends, families, and classmates. How can you become a Junior Ranger?To become a Junior Ranger at Steamtown National Historic Site, stop by the information kiosk and ask for your free book. Note: Due to COVID-19, and for everyone's safety, all Junior Ranger books (and badges) will be provided in a small bag. Once you have completed the activities you can either bring it back to the kiosk or find a Park Ranger to check your work!
