One component of The National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Act of 1998 is to "educate the public about the historical significance of the Underground Railroad." Members of the Network to Freedom and states that have historical significance to the Underground Railroad have created a number of educational products, services and activities to help the public learn about the Underground Railroad. These products include curriculum based experiences, lesson plans and primary materials meant to be used in the classroom and for educational purposes.
If you have not heard anything about recieving a junior ranger badge after mailing it in, please reach out to network_to_freedom@nps.gov and one of our staff members will assist you.
