Join us in the amphitheater behind the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor Center on Friday, July 19th at 7:00pm for the FREE musical performance “Music of the Miners and 49ers.” Folk singer and educator Martin Gilmore will present a one-hour concert and history of music from mining camps in the American West. A well-known regional musical voice, Martin Gilmore is an instructor of folk and bluegrass music at the University of Northern Colorado and Swallow Hill Music Association in Denver, Colorado. He is also a lecturer with the University of Denver Enrichment Program. He has released four solo albums and toured both nationally and internationally. This presentation is made possible by Black Hills Parks and Forests Association, the official non-profit partner of Scotts Bluff National Monument. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to inside the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor Center Theater.
