The Scotts Bluff Summit Road will be closed to all use on Tuesday, April 1st so that engineers can complete a condition assessment of the road and pavement surface.
The biannual safety inspections of the three tunnels along the Scotts Bluff Summit Road are scheduled to take place on October 8th and October 9th (if necessary) from 08:00AM to 12:00PM.

A new National Park Service report shows that 189,829 visitors to Scotts Bluff and Agate Fossil Beds National Monuments in 2023 spent $12,990,000 in communities near the parks. That spending supported 171 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $15,318,000.
