Scotts Bluff National Monument is a wonderful place for families. There are interesting rock formations to gawk at and short hiking trails that provide opportunities for everyone to get out of the car and explore the monument's features. During the summer season, kids may also enjoy the costumed interpretation programs where they can learn what life was like for children traveling the Oregon Trail. Stop at the visitor center to check current program schedules, and take some time to view the interpretive exhibits and visit the park store.
