Howland Hill Outdoor SchoolHowland Hill Outdoor School (HHOS) has been providing educational programs in Redwood National and State Parks since 1979. HHOS offers curriculum-based immersive environmental education programs for students in grades K-5. The facility is generally available for self-directed use by education groups when these classes are not in session.
HHOS is located near Crescent City, CA and is one of two outdoor schools in Redwood National and State Parks. The Wolf Creek Education Center (WCEC) is located near Orick, CA, and provides curriculum-based environmental education programs for students in grades 4-6, as well as self-directed facility use. Registration for in-person programs during the 2021-22 school year generally opens at 8:00 am Pacific Standard Time on May 1st. At this time, there is no set date when in-person trips to Howland Hill Outdoor School can be made.
