Picnicking

Pack a lunch and head to the picnic area after spending the morning in the park. Or use the supplied charcoal grills to have an afternoon cookout and watch the evening colors of a tropical Pacific Ocean sunset. Be sure to have all your picnicking supplies packed up and ready to exit the park by the closing time, 15 minutes after sunset. Be sure to check with the front desk for any surf or weather hazards and park operating hours before planning your excursion.

Large groups of over 30 persons must obtain a permit to use the area. Permit inquiries can be made to Ranger Cynthia Galieto at [phone] ext. 1220.

Table are open to everyone and tables may not be reserved. The use of umbrellas, tarps and such equipment are not permitted in order to preserve the natural landscape. For additional park rules and policies, please contact a park ranger.
