Basic Information

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park has adjusted our days and hours of operations. Currently, on FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS, and SUNDAYS the park gates are open from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm with access to visitor services from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. On MONDAY-THURSDAY the park gates will remain closed and no visitor services will be offered, but visitors can still access the shoreline, park trails, restrooms, and the Royal Grounds and Puʻuhonua on foot.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the park gates, entrance station, and fee collection activities will be open FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS, and SUNDAYS only.

THE VISITOR CENTER IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

Park Rangers will be available at an information station near the visitor center building on FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS, and SUNDAYS from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
