Because the Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail includes dozens of parks, museums, and sites across four states, the operating hours and seasons vary wildely. We recommend calling sites to check their hours before visiting. Unstaffed sites are usually open from dawn to dusk.
Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail covers a varity of land areas including: Federal, State, County and City public lands but also many private property areas as well. Please be aware that many places along the flood trail are in private ownership and do not assume access to property is granted unless it is signed indicating clearly that public access is granted.
Check out our Things to Do page for a list of museums, and our Places to Go to for a list of parks.
