Welcome to Hampton National Historic Site!

Hampton National Historic Site is open year round, with the exception of some federal holidays. The scenic grounds are open to pedestrian access every day, even on holidays when the parking lots and visitor center may otherwise be closed. The Visitor Contact Station, Lower Farm buildings, and mansion are open Thursday through Sunday.

The interior of the mansion is only accessible by joining a guided tour. Mansion tours are available Thursday through Sunday. Special programs, events, and tours are offered throughout the year so be sure to check the calendar of events as you plan your visit. The grounds and gardens are open daily for visitors to enjoy at their own pace.

Even a short visit can be a memorable one! Visitors are free to explore the 62.4 acre park that is home to several state champion trees, a falling garden, dozens of historic structures, and various birds and other wildlife. Visiting Hampton National Historic Site is a great way to spend a morning, afternoon, or the entire day. We have so much to see and do that we encourage visitors to return, and return often. We recommend that you plan to spend at least 2 hours on site but you are more than welcome to stay longer.
