STRONG CITY, Kansas: Due to the recent weather forecast of rain showers, the date for the annual historic haying event has been changed to its rain date of June 29th.
Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is pleased to announce the upcoming historic horse-drawn haying and raking demonstrations with four teams of draft horses on Saturday, June 29th from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weather permitting.

Jacqueline Lavelle, a 22-year veteran of the National Park Service (NPS), has been named superintendent of Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site in Montana. Lavelle is a recent alumna of the NPS Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C. She reports for duty at Grant-Kohrs Ranch on May 28, replacing Laura Rotegard, who was named superintendent of the NPS Horace M. Albright Training Center at Grand Canyon, AZ.
