Permitting

DSC Project Permitting Management Process (PPMP)

  • DSC developed the PPMP to meet the requirements of External Regulatory Permitting.
  • To frame and integrate Permitting in DSC Design and Construction, the PMPP is divided into 4 phases:
    1. Permit Scoping
    2. Permit Planning
    3. Permit Acquisition Services
    4. Compliance with Issued Permits
  • The most critical point in the DSC PMPP is at the end of Schematic Design (SD). This is when Permitting Scoping comes to an end and Permitting Planning is started. The information generated in these 2 phases is used to prepare the next contract, either Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Design Development Documents-Construction Documents (DBB DD-CD), Design-Build (DB), or Program of Requirements (POR) contract.
