Accessible Campsites

Campers with mobility impairments should request the following sites when obtaining a permit:

Stockton Island Accessible Campsites

• Campsite #1 at Presque Isle campground
• Group sites A & B at Quarry Bay

Features include accessible tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear proof boxes. A boardwalk leads from the Quarry Bay dock to the group campsites, and from the dock forming the west side of the Presque Isle harbor to campsite #1. The route from the campsite to the vault toilets is also accessible.

Sand Island Accessible Campsites

• Group site C
• Campsite #3

Accessible from the Sand-East Bay dock via a boardwalk. Features include raised tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear proof boxes. The route from the sites to the vault toilets is also level boardwalk.
