Rocky Island Campsites

Site 1

Location: On the sandspit, 0.5 miles South of NPS dock

Amenities: Picnic table, fire ring, tent pad, food locker, stump privy.

Access: Sandy beach for landing kayaks. There is not a secure place to beach vessels unless seas are calm. Therefore, it is recommended that boaters hike in from the dock.

 

Site 2

Location: Within 0.25 mile of NPS dock

Amenities: Stump privy, picnic table, fire ring, tent pad, food locker.

Access: Short walk from the dock. There is not an adequate place to beach small vessels at this location.

 

Site 3

Location: Within 0.25 mile of NPS dock.

Amenities: Stump privy, picnic table, fire ring, tent pad, food locker.

Access: Short walk from the dock. Kayakers should use caution when attempting to land on this small, somewhat rocky beach.

 

Site 4

Location: Within 0.25 mile of NPS dock

Amenities: Vault toilet at the dock, picnic table, fire ring, tent pad, food locker.

Access: Generally used by boaters because of dock access.

 

Site 5

Location: within 0.25 mile of NPS dock

Amenities: vault toilet, picnic table, fire ring, tent pad.

Access: Generally used by boaters because of dock access.

 

Group Site A

Location: within 0.25 mile of NPS dock

Amenities: vault toilet, picnic table, fire ring, food locker.

Access: Beach access or boaters can dock and walk 0.25 miles to the campsite.
